In this conference, Yvon Quiniou presents the essence of his thinking from his book Critique of Religion (La vile brûle). This, distinguished from subjective faith, is considered as an imposture that does not bring what it claims to bring: neither the truth, nor the good, nor any political progress. This trial is based on the philosophy of the Enlightenment (Spinoza, Hume, Kant) which criticized positive religions in the name of an ideal religion based on reason. But it is especially extended through the critical explanation provided by the thinkers of the 19th century: Feuerbach, Marx, Nietzsche and Freud, who reduced it to a strictly human phenomenon with its own misdeeds, in the vital, psychological, social and political order. The idea follows that, while respecting their existence, we must consider overcoming them if we want to emancipate man on all levels. The tragic news of our time unfortunately revives this requirement. Yvon Quiniou is a doctor of philosophy and a professor of philosophy in preparatory classes, and author of Critique de la religion – Une imposture morale, intellectuelle et politique (La ville brûle, 2014). #religion #philosophy ------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to the channel to find all our videos: https://www.youtube.com/UnivNantes/?s...
