Judge Yunus is performing his duty in a very important position within the state in this chaotic environment in society. Yunus is the judge of Sivrihisar district; he is trying to rebuild the order of merit that was disrupted by Mongol oppression. Because according to Kadı Yunus, salvation will only be possible by establishing the order of merit. Yunus is the highest-ranking administrator of the district. As soon as he starts his duty in Sivrihisar, Yunus issues a fatwa in favor of the execution of a suspect in a capital case, and this fatwa is shown to Sheikh Tapduk Emre by his close disciples. Tapduk Emre declares that the fatwa is wrong and the ruling is invalid. The claim that his ruling is wrong by a sheikh named Tapduk Emre makes Yunus very angry.
