How to do the electrical installation of the auxiliary battery step by step in a camper van, under the seat, and with the automatic Nagares separator relay. We have mounted the secondary battery under the driver's seat in a 1998 Volkswagen T4 Kombi. We have used the famous automatic Nagares separator relay so as not to have to make connections to the alternator. The circuit we have designed has 3 12 volt sockets, 2 USB sockets, a voltmeter to check the charge, a 220V inverter and a power strip with 3 220V sockets. We have also placed the necessary fuses, switches, and a charger in case we want to charge the auxiliary battery by connecting it to the 220V network. At the end of this description I leave the tools and materials necessary for the electrical installation of our camper van. They are affiliate links, so if you buy something I get a small commission :) The way we have mounted it does not need approval. The operation is simple: both the main battery and the auxiliary battery are charged when the van is in motion, but when the camper is stopped, the automatic isolating relay prevents the main battery from being discharged. In other words, only the auxiliary battery is discharged and so we will never be left stranded. Greetings! Circuit diagram: https://drive.google.com/open?id=187k...
