Today we went to visit Arties. Arties is one of the most charming villages in the Aran Valley, located at an altitude of no less than 1,144 metres. It is located 7 km from the Baqueira Beret ski resort, and 7 km from Vielha, in the Pyrenees, within the province of Lleida. It is located at the confluence of the Valarties and Garonne rivers, and in 2023 it was selected as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Spain". We met just in time for the lighting of the Christmas tree and the release of lanterns. Without a doubt, I recommend walking through its cobbled streets, and contemplating the picturesque houses that make up the urban centre, made of stone, wood and black slate.
