Mountain bikes from the 90s were not good bikes for MTB. They had poor braking, rigid forks (at least the ones we normal people could afford) and long gear ratios. For MTB we already have modern MTBs, but MTBs from the 90s are perfect for many other things (gravel, city, rides, errands, going for a few beers...). They are very cheap bikes to buy and maintain, they are cool, they can be easily modified to be more comfortable (changing the handlebars and little else) and they can be upgraded (this bike is not the case) to brake and shift better. This Pegueot Safari is not for me, but soon you will see another MTB (in this case I think from the 80s) that I have prepared for me. And it won't be the last... In this case I modified the handlebars to make them wider, so I have to use a radial and a welding machine, but there is no need to go that far.
