Too often we think of the church as just a building or a gathering, but it is actually much deeper than that. The Bible, in 1 Corinthians 3:16, reminds us that *we* are the temple of God, and his Spirit dwells in us. The church is the body of Christ, made up of living stones—you, me, each of us. Stéphane Quéry encourages us to look beyond mere activities and meetings. He urges us to pray for a renewed vision of God’s love for his church, to recognize our unique role, and to cherish fellowship with other members of the body of Christ. We need each other to grow, mature, and fully reflect the glory of God. It is a supernatural, divine love that comes down from above and transforms our hearts. Today, take a moment to pray and ask God to show you the faces of those who are the Church, to uproot all bitterness or jealousy, and to reveal to you the power of love for the body of Christ. You are the house of God, and it is time to meet the God of the house, your God. ✝️ “The Gospel of the Day” is a meditation on the Bible whose vocation is to speak to Christians and to all those who are interested, near or far, in the Christian faith… ????
