Thinking I wasn't smart enough, I gave up studying English and went to Australia at the age of 23 with the aim of becoming a Japanese teacher. I spent over 1 million yen on language study abroad but didn't make the progress I had hoped for, so I returned to Japan for the time being. After returning to Japan, after many twists and turns, I improved my English skills by self-study. In 2013, I opened an English conversation bar in my hometown, a place where people can enjoy themselves in English. Since then, I have held an average of 36 events a year where people can enjoy English. It closed in 2020 due to the effects of COVID-19. I currently work as the director/instructor of an English conversation school whilst raising my child in the local area. I have appeared in the media 6 times and have a Grade Pre-1 Eiken certificate.
