Actor Yamashita Tomohisa appeared at a Japan-France cultural exchange event to celebrate the release of his first leading role in a foreign drama, Hulu Original "Drops of God". This international drama series is a live-action adaptation of the hugely popular manga "Drops of God" (written by Aki Nao, illustrated by Okimoto Shu, published by Kodansha), which is loved around the world and sparked a wine boom. It was co-produced by Legendary Television (USA), Dynamic Television (USA), France Television, a French national broadcasting group, and Hulu Japan, and was filmed in France, Italy, Japan, and other countries around the world for about 10 months. In this drama series, the male character "Kamisaki Shizuku", who is at the center of the story in the original manga, is replaced by a French woman named Camille, and the main character is a smart wine critic, Tomine Issei, played by Yamashita Tomohisa.
