For a few weeks now, the one-year-old puma girl Missoula has been sharing an enclosure with the Java leopard Sri Kandi, who is the same age. Missoula is a rare Montana puma breeding cat that was hand-raised at the zoo. Missoula is primarily supposed to learn "cat behavior" from the Java leopard. There is also news about the giraffes at the zoo. The little male giraffe is to meet the water buffalo for the first time, which will share the enclosure with the giraffes in the future. District animal keeper Claudia Walther is responsible for the giraffes, among other things. When the zoo is hit by a violent thunderstorm, she has the opportunity for the first time to observe the behavior of her charges in an extremely exceptional situation. Anteater Danita, the ninth cub of anteater Griseline, who was born in Berlin Zoo in 2011, is soon to live in Greece. Before Danita can set off on her big journey, however, she must first get used to the transport cage. The zookeepers are coming up with all sorts of ideas to get the 60 kg anteater to get into the transport box. Of course, there is a lot of monkey business among the monkeys in the zoo. The gorillas, who are much more jealous of food than other great apes, give silverback Ivo a few treats. Be careful that the female gorillas don't get jealous... But the keepers have more in store than just tasty bananas to ensure that Ivo doesn't get bored during the day at the zoo. The two zoo residents Hera and Solar, a species of primate from West Africa, have become parents for the first time! Unfortunately, the mother monkey did not accept her young after the birth, so the zookeepers are currently looking after the baby monkey around the clock.
