With the new Zugspitze cable car to almost 3,000 meters: Since December 21, 2017, the ultra-modern Zugspitze cable car has been serving Germany's highest mountain. During the ride in the two large, floor-to-ceiling glass cabins, Zugspitze visitors pass the world's highest steel support for aerial tramways at 127 meters, overcome the world's largest total height difference of 1,945 meters in one section, and the world's longest free span at 3,213 meters. From the planning to the opening of the Zugspitze cable car, a film team from the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn accompanied every single milestone with their camera and has now summarized them in an exciting documentary film. This not only gives insights into the spectacular construction, but also provides interesting background information and interviews about the superlative cable car.
