The Butcher Wolfpack's journey began in Ireland in 2018. The German national team took part in the Butchers' World Championship there for the first time. Without success. The winners' cries of victory overwhelmed the team and cast a dark shadow over the Butcher Wolfpack. A few years passed and the team, consisting of Dirk Freyberger, Jürgen Reck, Jörg Erchinger, Katharina Endrass-Lacher (Ina), Matthias Endrass, Michael Moser, Katharina Bertl (Kaddy) and Fabian Schüttler, trained for the European Championship in France. They would travel there in 2021 and fight like clockwork for the title. However, the pack failed again. "We trained so hard and so much, but I simply can't say why it wasn't bearing fruit," says a shocked Dirk.
