Robin, who orders a lot online himself, has often asked himself: How does it actually work? And what are the working conditions really like for the employees who work in the background to ensure that the system runs smoothly? For "follow me.reports", Robin took a look behind the scenes at Amazon and visited a large logistics center. Anyone who presses the "order now" button online sets the work processes in motion in the Amazon logistics center in Frankenthal. 22-year-old Marcella, who works there as a so-called "Amnesty Responder", is also involved in the ordering process. Can't imagine what the term "Amnesty Responder" means? Robin also has to ask first. The special thing about the logistics center in Frankenthal: people and robots work hand in hand here. Hundreds of computer-controlled transport robots move high shelves around in an area the size of 12 football fields - seemingly without a system. But of course nothing is left to chance here. If an error occurs, Marcella is there immediately. She and her colleagues make sure that technical problems are resolved quickly. Robin accompanies Marcella at work for a day and follows the path of an ordered paddling pool from the warehouse to the mail truck.
