NUNSPEET - Last week the tunnels were placed under the track (see video) and from now on the following work will take place in the area. *From November 2024 to April 2025 the access roads to the tunnels will be built. These are also concrete structures. Then the roads and cycle paths will be installed in the tunnels and the walls will be built (150,000 bricks). *The fast traffic tunnel is expected to open in April 2025 and the old Elspeterweg will be removed. *In the Pentecost weekend of 2025 there will be another 100-hour outage. In this weekend the lift and the platform roof will be hoisted in place. After this weekend the existing level crossing and the existing crossing to the platform will have been removed and the track will be in its final position and the trains will run over the tunnels. *In the same weekend the slow traffic tunnel will be set up and the new bicycle shed at the station will be ready. *The work will then be completed in July 2025.
