He started working on this work after retiring in 1980 with the aim of creating something large, monumental, which would summarize his lifelong carving experience and at the same time summarize in one creation as much as possible that is representative as typically Slovak. Everything that is characteristic of Slovakia as a country can be found here - a shepherd with his sheep, castles, modern buildings, the Danube and Kriváň. The creation lasted fifteen years and today it can be seen in Rajecká Lesná as freely accessible to all visitors
