The best-selling and most popular car in Germany will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2024! The first generation of the VW Golf rolled off the production line in 1974 and is still being built today in the current eighth generation. The Golf I started with a small four-cylinder engine and a maximum of 70 hp. So it was anything but loud and fast!
