He expected that Mahmoud Abbas would be chosen as a replacement for Yasser Arafat, ruling out the choice of the heads of the security services, explaining the reasons for his vision, and following up on the elements of the choice that the West and America in particular would accept, and conveying his vision for the future of the Palestinian Authority and its role, and spoke about future scenarios according to his vision.
