Karsten Dudziak is on a feeding tour of his cattle on the farm in Sophienhof (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania). Because his herds can hardly find any food on the pastures in winter, he has to feed them every day. At the same time, he checks to see if everyone is OK. Most of his employees are still on vacation, so the boss has to work alone. But he is happy to do it - despite the extra work. Poultry farmer Christine Bremer has to bring her turkeys new drinking water in the meadow. Since there are no pipes from the village of Kölau (Lower Saxony) to the forest meadow, Christine transports the water tank to the turkeys on the tractor. Once there, she is delighted by her animals' curiosity. The turkeys immediately conquer the tractor. For them, this is a clear sign that turkeys also feel comfortable at heights. On the Thudt farm in the Harz foothills, the vines have to be cut back. Pruning the vines in winter is crucial for the coming harvest. Winemaker Hendrik Klingsöhr shows his friend and business partner Steffen Thudt how it's done. Each individual plant must be examined individually and treated accordingly. A completely new task for farmer Steffen. He actually prefers to sit on his tractor and do the farming. The tulip season is starting in Hamburg-Altengamme. Jens Wöbb needs his transport cart for this. But one tire is flat. Repairing things is a hobby of his, says the flower gardener. So he sets to work in a good mood. He would prefer to patch the hose and not put in an expensive new one.
