In the summer of 2020, we drove in a Scania Citywide articulated bus from Robert-Koch-Platz, past the main train station, through the Moabit district to Tegel Airport. The buses need around 30 minutes for the approximately 8.6 km long route and serve 6 stops. The BVG's TXL Express bus line was introduced on March 21, 1999 and initially ran between Tegel Airport and Unter den Linden. During its 21 and a half years of operation, the terminus in the city center was changed several times and the TXL ended, among other things, at Unter den Linden at the corner of Friedrichstr., at the S + U Alexanderplatz station, on Mollstr. at the corner of Prenzlauer Allee and finally near the main train station, at Robert-Koch-Platz. One day before Tegel Airport closed, the TXL line was discontinued on November 7, 2020. The M10 tram line, which opened on September 9, 2023 and runs from the main train station to the U-Bahn station. Turmstraße was extended, we see as a look back into the future in this video. 0:00 Robert-Koch-Platz 3:25 Hauptbahnhof 10:30 U-Bf. Turmstraße 15:19 Turmstraße / Beusselstraße 18:01 S-Bf.
