On August 1, 2021, we drove with our D2U, car 1629, into the countryside, more precisely to the Woltersdorf tram. We used the outward journey as a short city tour past sights such as the Victory Column, the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Palace (Humboldt Forum) and drove along the East Side Gallery. The Woltersdorf tram was opened on May 17, 1913 with a route length of 5.6 km, which has remained unchanged to this day, making it one of the smallest tram companies in Germany. The KSW railcar 7 with trailer 22 and the TW 2 (built in 1913!) with its BW 24 were available for us as special trains for a trip between Woltersdorfer Schleuse and the Berlin-Rahnsdorf S-Bahn station. In order to be prepared for a possible rush, the single-decker type E2H 85 (MAN SL 200), carriage 1666, accompanied us at the beginning as the second bus. Enjoy the trip through Berlin and along the Woltersdorf tracks. 0:00 Start and as a company trip to the zoo 4:38 All aboard, start of the city tour 9:45 Arrival in Woltersdorf 10:39 Start of the special trip with KSW railcar 7 19:02 Arrival at Berlin-Rahnsdorf S-Bahn station #Traditionsbus
