Hello camper friends, The text described here is a quick and brief summary of our route through Norway and is intended to help you find your way around or perhaps plan your vacation. After a long time of anticipation, we finally set off on a big tour in mid-June. A total of 23 days and around 4500km. We started in southern Germany and our first destination was the Büsum motorhome port. The next day we continued to Hirtshals in Denmark and from there we took the fast ferry (Fjord Line 2hrs. 15mins) to Kristiansand. The rest of the days in Norway were as follows: We took the E39 from Kristiansand to Cape Lindesnes to Sandnes, then on the RV13 via Oanes and Tau. A little further on we left the RV13 briefly to take the 520 pass road via Sauda to Roldal where we then met the RV13 again. We then continued via Odda, Sunndal to Voss. Shortly after Voss we turned onto the E16 towards Aurlandvangen. There we had the choice of either taking the longest tunnel in the world at 24.51km or the famous snow road over the top. We decided on the snow road because there are countless tunnels in Norway and you can't see any of the landscape in the tunnel. All we can say is that we were not disappointed. The snow road led to Laerdal where we then continued on the RV5 towards Sogndal, Lunde, Byrkjelo via Stryn the 15 to the Geiranger Fjord. From Geiranger we drove up the Eagle Road towards Trollstigen where we then arrived at the northernmost point of our holiday. From Trollstigen we then went via Andalsnes, Dombas, Otta the E136 and E6 to Lillehammer. From Lillehammer, the final spurt via Honefoss, Hokksund to Larvik, where we then took the ferry back to Hirtshals, Denmark. We were so impressed by the country that we certainly won't be there for the last time. The landscapes are so different and beautiful, even in bad weather. Just a little tip, the travel speed is not comparable to here in Germany. It may well be that you need between 2 and 3 or even 4 hours for 50km, so don't set your stage goals too high and enjoy the country. Greetings, Marcus and Corina
