On April 13th and 14th, 2024, there was the opportunity to experience the Profen opencast mine from a completely different perspective, from the perspective of the mine railway. Due to the high demand, the EMBB drove the round trip from Plagwitz via Großkorbetha and Wählitz to Profen and back twice. On the second day of the trip, Zeitz was even used as a passenger pick-up and drop-off point. The recordings from April 13th can be seen here.
