They are young, they are farmers and they are fighting for more acceptance and understanding of modern, conventional agriculture. Gesa Langenberg, Henriette Struß and Gesa Ramme run conventional agriculture in Lower Saxony and have many innovative ideas. Herniette Struß runs a dairy farm, Gesa Ramme works with the chickens on her father's farm and Gesa Langenberg is the manager of a farm with more than 4,000 pigs. They come from the districts of Diepholz, Schaumburg and Gifhorn and one thing connects the three of them: They are active on social media and show on Instagram and other social media channels what life and work on a farm is like and what challenges it brings with it: from climate change to animal welfare to financial problems. And they say what they think about undifferentiated criticism of conventional milk production and factory farming. The exchange with consumers is important to them. 2022 is a special year for all three: Gesa Ramme is trying out large-scale pumpkin cultivation for the first time, Henriette Struß has had her first child and now has to juggle farm, family and social media, and Gesa Langenberg wants to involve the public on her pig farm with a very special step: with a climate- and animal-friendly stable with a visitor room. But that has yet to be built. _________________________________________________ The farm stories on ndr.de https://www.ndr.de/fernsehen/sendunge...
