With a convertible and a caravan to the Lofoten! - 5,000 km camping road trip through Sweden and Norway

Reindeer blockade, drone flights over dream beaches, convertible rides, raging rapids A road trip with a convertible and caravan in June/July 2024 in 4K (UHD). After we took the ferry from Travemünde to Trelleborg, we went to Öland for Midsommar via the Ölandsbron. The next day we drove to Uppsala. The next stage went to Sundsvall, where we had a direct view of the Gulf of Bothnia from the caravan. The further route took us over the Högakustenbron - whose span is almost the same as that of the Golden Gate Bridge - to Piteå. From the campsite in Pite Havsbad we were able to reach Piteå by bike in the best summer and beach weather. In much more mixed weather we continued with a convertible and caravan to the largest rapids in Scandinavia (Storforsen) and further across the Arctic Circle to Kiruna. The old center looks like a ghost town, but the construction of the relocated center is in full swing. Since our camping road trip in the summer of 2024 was not only to take us to Sweden, but also to Norway, the next stage was via Abisko to the Lofoten Islands in the best convertible weather. Five days in the Lofoten Islands gave us enough time for drone flights, bike tours and a day trip to Å i Lofoten. After the Lofoten Islands, Fauske was on the agenda with trips to Sulitjelma, Saltstraumen (the strongest tidal current in the world), Bodø and Mjeldevika. After that, we quickly headed further south on the E6 via Grong to Røros. Because the weather in Røros was not very inviting, we left Norway for Sweden a little earlier than planned. Kungshamn, Smögen and Hunnebostrand spoiled us with summer weather, as did the last stop on the trip: Halmstad. Since even three weeks of vacation come to an end at some point, the convertible and caravan combination then took the ferry back home.
