Podzamcze - a village in Poland located in the Silesian Voivodeship, in Zawiercie County, in the Ogrodzieniec commune, on provincial road no. 790. In the years 1975-1998, the town was located in the Katowice Voivodeship. The town is usually known incorrectly as Ogrodzieniec, due to the medieval Ogrodzieniec Castle located there, the best preserved of similar ones on the Trail of the Eagles' Nests. In the vicinity of Podzamcze there are numerous limestone rocks, very popular among climbers. In the vicinity of the castle there is a rock area called the Right Podzamcze, gathering a dozen or so impressive outliers with a large concentration of routes with a high degree of difficulty, often exceeding the VI.5 level. The rocks located on the opposite side of provincial road no. 791 are sometimes called the Left Podzamcze. There is a climbing rock called Suchy Połeć here, as well as the Birów region, which offers several dozen routes on several outliers and a 30-meter-high rock wall.
