Wings of Russia. Legendary Aircraft. Il-18. Flagship of the "Golden Era" More than fifty years have passed since the first flight of the Il-18. During this time, the aircraft has come a long way from birth to worldwide recognition. In the 60s, it was the "workhorse" of Aeroflot, and eventually entered the fleet of sixteen countries. Hundreds of millions of passengers around the world have traveled on its wings. The Il-18 has flown around all continents, including Antarctica. And military modifications of the airliner are still serving in the Armed Forces of modern Russia. The half-century-long flight continues. The film has two parallel lines: the history of the creation of the Il-18 aircraft and the flight full of surprises to set a world women's record on the airliner in 1967.
