On January 7, a meeting organized by the Ministry of the Environment took place - a discussion of the project on changing the procedure for the use of protected species (procedure for taking problem wolves from the wild). The Lithuanian hunting community was represented by the Lithuanian Hunting Union Nature and the Sūduva Hunters' Union. The essence of the project is that a group of professional hunters will be formed in Lithuania, to whom the Environmental Protection Department, in a certain order, will issue hunting permits and they will hunt problem wolves near the animals killed by wolves throughout the country, i.e. in the areas of any group or club. For this, they will be paid money from the environmental fund. LMS Nature and the Sūduva Hunters' Union categorically oppose this. More about this - in a conversation between Kataryna Šterna, correspondent of the magazine Medžioklė, and Raimondas Ribačiauskas, head of LMS Nature. https://www.medzioklezurnalas.lt/
