Here comes a new railroad running along the East Coast! When it opens on December 31, 2024, you'll be able to travel from Gangneung to Busan in one go. The new Pohang-Samcheok section is designed to have a top speed of 200 km/h, making it much faster and more convenient to use Gangneung/Donghae/Samcheok and Uljin/Yeongdeok, Pohang-Gyeongju-Ulsan-Busan than by bus on the national highway!
