Magical moment of the bellowing resonating in the misty forest, touching encounter with small squirrels close to humans or wild boars fond of corn, discovery of the great tit predator of processionary caterpillars and the fox, efficient hunter of voles... Our country is dotted with forests, as many ecosystems to which fauna adapts in a fragile balance. For 50 years, reforestation has favored certain species such as deer or wild boar. But motorways and TGV lines are dividing up their domain. And the forest is no longer so peaceful: in addition to the traditional foresters and hunters, it is also crossed by walkers, mountain bikers or 4x4s. So, what is the right balance between deer and logging? Can red squirrels survive the appearance of exotic species on their territory such as parakeets or American gray squirrels? Why are processionary caterpillars moving north? And why has the number of wild boars increased fivefold in the last 20 years? Because wonder is the first step towards respect and protection, it is by adopting the animals' point of view that the film answers all these questions.
