The Opel Blitz truck (German: Blitz - lightning) is a German medium-tonnage truck, the early models of which were actively used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. Opel Blitz were used not only for the transportation of personnel and cargo, but also as a chassis for 20-30 mm anti-aircraft automatic guns. Many special vehicles were created on the basis of this chassis - mobile radio stations, ambulances, various workshops, buses and others. Various types of wooden and wood-metal bodies with different side heights, with benches and awnings, numerous versions of rectangular standard vans, tanks, fire equipment were mounted on the chassis.
