We’ve got our hands on a classic BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class and they’re about to go head-to-head in a series of off-road tests! The question is, how will these cars perform once they leave the tarmac? And will any of them make it to the end of the video?! Let’s take a closer look at today’s cars. Let’s start with the Audi A4. It’s covered 127,000 miles (207,000 km) and is powered by a 2.0-litre inline-four petrol engine producing 130 PS (98 kW) and 145 lb-ft (195 Nm). That power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. Next up is the Mercedes C180. It’s covered 127,000 miles (202,000 km) and has a 1.8-litre supercharged inline-four engine. It produces 141 PS (107 kW) and 155 lb-ft (220 Nm). That power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. And finally, there’s the BMW 318i. It’s covered 141,000 km and has a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine producing 140 hp and 200 Nm. That power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
