In most band speakers, there is a small speaker called a tweeter. The work of this speaker is the separation of audio signals, which is done with the help of a capacitor. When we connect two speakers in parallel, the same voltage is applied to both speakers and the total current is divided between them. This causes both speakers to produce sound at the same time. By placing a capacitor in series with one of the speakers, we create an RC (Resistor-Capacitor) circuit. Capacitors react to rapid voltage changes but have high resistance to direct current (DC). With this, we create a high-pass filter. At high frequencies, the value of Xc becomes very small and the capacitor acts like a simple wire and the signal passes through it easily. So the speaker connected to the capacitor also receives high frequencies. At low frequencies, the capacitor acts like a resistor and the value of Xc is very large and prevents the signal from passing. So the speaker connected to the capacitor receives less low frequencies (bass). -------------------------------------------- To learn the basics of electronics concepts course Prepare the base zero to hundred on the website.
