The film written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard and directed by the latter presents a group of 5 young college students (Kristen Connolly, Jesse Williams, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison and Fran Kranz) who decide to enjoy a weekend in a cabin near a lake. However, on the first night, some supernatural threat or monsters seem determined to eliminate them one by one. But not everything is exactly as it seems. In this spoiler-filled analysis we will evaluate all the merits of this production and try to justify why this is a film that deserves recognition.
