Yes, I finally got to Seoul and this is my first vlog from Korea. Believe me, you’ll learn so much about Korea that it will even seem to you like you’ve already been here. What I’m going to tell you in this video I didn’t just read somewhere on the Internet – I learned about it from the locals. From them I also learned many interesting facts about Korea and debunked myths about it. In general, I’m so immersed in Korean culture that I’m even ready to teach you a few words in Korean, seriously! ▶ STOPOVER FROM AIR ASTANA The best time to visit Korea, in my opinion, is spring. We arrived here in May and it was already quite hot here – up to +31ºC, and in the summer it’s just unrealistically hot. By the way, on the way to Korea I managed to visit another beautiful city – Almaty. I flew to Seoul with Air Astana and I had an international layover of more than 10 hours. With such a long layover in Almaty or Nur-Sultan, you can get a stopover in a 3-4* hotel for only $1. So, when you fly with Air Astana, be sure to take advantage of this opportunity. I talk about it in detail in the video! ▶ INCHEON AIRPORT Incheon Airport is the main airport in Korea, serving 49 million passengers a year. In 2018, it was ranked second after Singapore Changi Airport in the world's best airports. The first thing I found out was that getting from the airport to the city by taxi is very expensive here - $130, so I went by bus. The ticket cost me about $9. ▶ FAVORABLE ROAMING KYIVSTAR South Korea is one of the countries with the greatest dependence on social networks among the population. Free Wi-Fi is available at every step, but, to be honest, I am always in touch thanks to roaming rates from my mobile operator Kyivstar. In the video, I will tell you in detail about the new roaming rates from Kyivstar, which have now become even lower and 2-3 times cheaper than other operators. For example, in Austria, mobile Internet costs only 0.1 UAH per megabyte instead of 0.35 UAH, calls are 1 UAH per minute instead of the usual 2 UAH. To take advantage of these favorable rates, dial *505# and the operator will send you an individual offer with the option to connect "ideal roaming". ▶ FOOD IN KOREA One thing I can say for sure, it is not easy to be a vegan and vegetarian in Korea. It is not easy to find something without meat, fish and seafood here. Even the famous Korean dish kimchi is made with fish sauce. There is a lot of Korean street food here and you will definitely not go hungry, but it is not cheap at all. For example, simple noodles will cost you $7. In the evening, the main party takes place on Myeongdong Street - that's where I went and talked to Koreans who have fun spending their evenings there. Koreans drink heavily, and one of their favorite drinks is soju, a traditional alcoholic drink, as well as some, a mixture of soju and beer. I will tell you more about Seoul's nightlife in the "Night Seoul" episode, which will be released very soon. ▶ KOREAN COSMETICS I think many of you have heard about high-quality Korean skin care, and many of you actively use it. We will drop by the local Olive Young store, see what interesting things they sell there, I will buy masks for my wife Yulia, who adores them, and I will also tell you what parents often give their children here for their coming of age. So, are you ready to see how they live in Korea? Then go ahead and watch the video! And be sure to write to me later how you like Korea and the video itself! #Korea #Seoul #Vlog ✔ I recommend looking at TripMyDream: Search for cheap flights – http://bit.ly/2MHeyWq Expats China: ours in Beijing – • Emigration to China: life of ours EX...
