More and more people are realizing that we can live well, happily and healthily without eating or exploiting animals. In this inspiring talk, Jean-François Noubel explains the reasons why humanity is going vegan, including the need to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also, according to him, because the human species is on a natural evolutionary path, a species that is driven to take care of others. Jean-François Noubel does R&D in collective intelligence, a new research discipline that explores how living systems work and how our species evolves. He works on cryptotechnologies enabling the emergence of distributed social intelligence and the post-money society. He travels the world to give conferences and advise leaders on evolutionary leaps. Applying his research to himself, Jean-François lives an experimental life and defines himself as an open source earthling who practices the gift economy. He lives in Provence, follows a vegan lifestyle, teaches martial arts and enjoys various extreme sports. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
