About :

Born into an Arab family, Kassem Ahmad Janenne was raised in the Islamic faith by his father. Although he did not become a devout Muslim, he developed a great aversion to Christianity and anything related to it, such as temples and images, because this was the teaching he had received. However, in 1990, his life began to take a new direction when he married a Catholic woman. After much reluctance, she managed to take him to the Encounter of Couples with Christ (ECC) in 1993. There, his heart was touched by God, and the following week he began to ask a priest his questions, beginning his transition to the Catholic faith, being baptized in 1994. In 1998, he experienced a “second conversion” after attending the PHN camp of the Canção Nova community, which made him change his life even more and seek to be ever closer to God, through the study of the Word and deepening his faith. Such was his experience with the Lord that Kassem has dedicated himself to the catechetical ministry for 14 years, educating people in the faith, transmitting the teachings and sound Catholic doctrine.
