Why didn’t God save the world with His omnipotence? All the laws of the created world are a reflection of the Reason, Beauty and Love of the eternal God. St. Gregory Palamas wrote: “God arranged this visible world as a kind of reflection of the supermundane world, so that through spiritual contemplation of it, as if by some miraculous ladder, we could reach that world” [26]. These laws are interconnected and have a certain hierarchical subordination. The lower level is occupied by physical laws, followed by biological laws, then come mental laws, and above them are moral laws. This ladder is crowned by spiritual laws, the highest of which, to which all the others are subordinate, is God Himself Love. All these laws of our existence turn out to be nothing other than a manifestation of creative Divine energies (and God said: let there be... and it was so (Gen. 1: 3)). As St. Gregory Palamas: “God is and is called the nature of all things, for everything participates in Him and exists by virtue of this participation, but participation not in His nature, but in His energies” [27]. Therefore, all the laws of created being are also immutable, like Himself. And man, being the image of God, most fully reflects in himself the lawfulness and godlike beauty of the Divine nature. But man is granted freedom. And he can do both good and evil to himself. And the natural law of our being says that healing and healing require tension, experiences, suffering. Moreover, a moral crime associated, for example, with murder, sometimes turns out to be so grave that it puts the murderer himself in the face of death. By virtue of this law, the original damage to man (the so-called original sin), consisting in the fatal perversion of his nature, required equivalent means for its restoration. But the possibility of healing from mortality, corruption, passion is beyond human strength, therefore Divine help was needed, not just a man was needed, but the Man Christ Jesus (1 Tim. 2: 5), inseparably and inseparably united with the Divinity of the Son of God - the God-man, capable of voluntarily taking upon Himself the Cross and death. Saint Ignatius (Brianchaninov) said this very accurately: “Human nature made the God-man capable of being a Sacrifice, and Divine nature gave this Sacrifice immeasurable value” [28].
