In the mid-1990s, Russia attacked a smaller country, hoping for a quick success. Meanwhile, it turned out completely differently. The problems of the Russian army were similar to those of today: soldiers abandoned equipment, deserted, and carried out unsuccessful attacks. Meanwhile, Chechnya, together with its President Dudayev, heroically defended itself against the invasion. Today's Mariupol is Grozny in 1995. The Chechen capital was cruelly treated by Russian invaders. This is another episode that refers more or less to contemporary events. I do not rule out more in the future.
