The Scriptures clearly tell us that the answer to everything in our lives is prayer in faith. The Apostle Paul writes, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6). Paul tells us, “Seek the Lord for an answer to every situation in your life. And thank Him in advance that He hears you!” It is written very clearly here that the Apostle Paul wants to emphasize: first of all, pray! We are not to pray as a last resort, first going to our friends, then to the pastor or counselor, and finally falling on our knees. No, Jesus tells us, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matt. 6:33). We are to go to the Lord first, before anyone else!
