Even if we look at expensive architecture, we will still see boxes, just with slightly more expensive decor. Somehow we have reached a situation where putting one box on top of another is considered the coolest thing possible, and few people care that these boxes can be placed in Murmansk as well as in Tel Aviv - only the font of the sign on the house will change, but not the appearance. Where is the uniqueness, humanity and just interestingness? And if you think that only I care about these issues, then you are wrong! Today we will talk about urban development and architecture, why these industries are increasingly focusing not on Le Corbusier and the works of science fiction writers, but on medieval cities. And at the same time, we will touch on the topic of new cities, because in Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries, every six months, some very respected official fantasizes about building an entire city. So let's discuss whether it is possible to build a normal new city from scratch? What principles should be used to design it? Who should live in it?
