A country of continental dimensions, rich in natural resources, formed by populations originating from three continents, shaped by colonialism and slavery. Sound familiar? Well, all these characteristics describe Brazil. But not only Brazil: if we stop to think about it, we will see that all of them also apply to the United States. On paper, Brazil and the United States are marked by similarities - and yet, they have taken completely different paths. Why?
