Advertising everywhere: we have come to accept it as normal. Can we do without it? A vanguard of activists, mayors and lawyers is increasingly fighting against ubiquitous advertising. In 2020, almost 600 billion euros will be spent on advertising worldwide. City dwellers now see far more advertising than they did thirty years ago. But in a developed information society such as ours, surely everyone is capable of figuring out for themselves what they want to buy?
