We were hired to install an external distribution panel exclusively for powering and protecting the spas they use as a display. As per the client's request, the panel will be fixed to the wall and hidden next to these bushes, from here we will leave with two pipes, one underground to power this spa on the wooden deck and another pipe will go to the back of the store to power another SPA. The electrical power of our panel will come directly from the standard. Charles started by making the trench in the ground to pass the power conduit for the first SPA. Luckily for us, the land had only gravel and right below it was already in the ground. He first separated the gravel so it wouldn't get dirty and then dug an average of 15 centimeters to embed this piping. Just look at the machine room of this SPA. The client is going to install solar heating in this model, so only 2.5mm² of wiring will be needed to power the hydromassage pump, which has 3/4 hp and is 220V. But even so, we chose to use a 1-inch conduit, because the client may decide in the future to change the display and install an electric heater. In that case, it will be necessary to change the wiring and the circuit breaker, but the infrastructure is already ready and able to receive the change. These are the materials used: 1-inch PVC conduits, conduit bends, bushings, screws, wedge clamps, uniduct, header, heat-shrink spaghetti, piercing connectors to connect to the standard, 16mm cables for powering the QDC and grounding, 2.5mm cables for connecting the first SPA and, of course, our fully sealed distribution board customized by Engehall. Well, here in the studio, we will use an IP65 hermetic distribution board, that is, it is a board highly sealed against water and dust infiltration. It has capacity for 12 circuit breakers. We will use 2 DPS here to protect the two phases, a 63A bipolar general circuit breaker, a 63A bipolar DR, another 50A bipolar circuit breaker for bathtub 2, and another 20A bipolar circuit breaker for bathtub 1, which will have solar heating. The frame already came with some holes in the bottom and cable glands. We used plugs in some holes, but it will be necessary to open other holes with a hole saw to the thickness of the 1-inch conical uniducts that will receive the ducts. Since the frame is already drilled, the hole saw does not have a guide, after all the drill is smaller than the existing hole, so the saw moves around and does not make the cut. Charles suggested using a piece of wood as a guide for the hole saw and it worked. Look, it was possible to make the hole, so take this tip from me, I learned it from him. So we continue to make the other holes, here there will be three 1-inch adapters that will go in through the bottom of the frame. After the holes are made, there will be a burr from the burned plastic, we use a utility knife to finish it off. The next step is to fit the conical uniducts into the holes made, they will screw into the hole by themselves, providing support. Just look at how the lower part of the QDC is looking here. And now all the protection components are fixed and we also put the plugs in the existing holes that we will not use.
