Starting in 2025, the Brasileirão broadcasts will undergo significant changes. With the division of the clubs into two blocks - Libra and Liga Forte União (LFU) - to negotiate the rights to their matches, the broadcasts will be fragmented, which will weaken Globo, even though the broadcaster has an agreement with Libra to broadcast the matches of the group's teams. Libra's agreement with Globo was signed in March. With a duration of five years, the contract should generate R$5.5 billion for the teams and provides for the broadcast of the matches on all platforms of Grupo Globo - open and closed TV, streaming and pay-per-view - as hosts of the clubs that are part of the block. Liga Forte União decided to do something different by negotiating its TV rights with different platforms, whether open TV, pay TV and streaming services - subscription or not. Different packages are being negotiated and, so far, there are two agreements: one with Record and Google (YouTube) and another with Amazon, which will broadcast the games on its streaming service, Prime Video, as Estadão reported.
