She was born in Istanbul in 1896. She started her education by taking lessons from private tutors. She graduated from the Geography Department of the Faculty of Letters of Istanbul Darülfünun. She taught geography and literature at Istanbul Girls' High School for a long time. She died in Istanbul in 1973. While she initially wrote poems in aruz meter under the influence of Tevfik Fikret, she gradually began to use syllabic meter in accordance with the principles of the National Literature Movement. Like all poets of her time, she was stuck between Edebiyat-ı Cedide, Fecri Ati and the National Literature Movement. Lyricism and feminine sincerity draw attention in her poems, most of which were written in syllabic meter and published in magazines such as Güneş, Varlık, Aydabir, Çınaraltı, Şadırvan. She also took part in the National Awakening Movement and gave an impressive speech at the Fatih rally.
