Let's start by saying that palliative care is not limited to a single disease or a specific age, but is aimed at all patients with advanced, progressive, and incurable chronic diseases who need specialized care. These patients and their families face significant emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges as they progress through their illness, and palliative care can help relieve pain and other symptoms, improve quality of life, and provide emotional and spiritual support. Importantly, palliative care does not exclude curative treatment and does not mean that the patient is abandoning other treatment options, but is designed to work in conjunction with curative treatment to improve the patient's quality of life.
