These days, it seems that SUVs are the answer to every car buyer's needs. However, if you're looking for a great family vehicle, and you value both practicality and space on board... vans are superior to any other type of car. And today we have with us two of the best-sellers in the segment. The Renault Kangoo and the Volkswagen Caddy, both in short version, with five seats and diesel engine. The Renault Kangoo is equipped with a 95 HP 1.5 BlueDCi engine with a manual transmission, and the Volkswagen Caddy has a 122 HP 2.0 TDI, with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. In this video we are going to discover which is the best vehicle for a family, and why if you buy a van, you will never think about an SUV again. Both the Renault Kangoo Combi and the Volkswagen Caddy are considered compact vans. The Renault is 4.49 metres long and the Volkswagen is just one centimetre longer. Unlike vans in higher segments, its dimensions and height of 1.80 metres do not exclude it from any parking space, however old or narrow. For the moment, the Kangoo is not offered in a long version or with more than five seats. However, the Caddy is offered in a seven-seat version, both in its short version of 4.50 metres and in its Maxi version of 4.85 metres and extended wheelbase.
