Ngo Dinh Diem was born in 1901 in Quang Binh, and was a politician. He served as a mandarin in the Nguyen Dynasty, holding the position of Minister of State, and then as Prime Minister of the State of Vietnam. In 1955, after a referendum to depose the Chief of State Bao Dai, he became President of the Republic of Vietnam until he was overthrown in 1963. He was also the leader of the Can Lao Nhan Vi Party, the ruling party of South Vietnam at that time. In November 1963, a military coup by his generals with the support of the United States, Ngo Dinh Diem and his younger brother, advisor Ngo Dinh Nhu, were murdered. Another younger brother, Ngo Dinh Can, was also sentenced to death by a military court and executed in Saigon. After many events, the three brothers of Ngo Dinh Diem are now buried together at Lai Thieu cemetery, Binh Duong. During his time in power in South Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem used harsh methods to fight against the Viet Minh resistance fighters supported by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam government in the North, who were called Viet Cong. With the policy of denouncing and destroying communists and enacting law 10-59, the Republic of Vietnam government caused heavy damage to the revolutionary forces in the South and the communists. -------------------------------------- If you find the video interesting, don't forget to click LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE. ▶️ Channel address: https://www.youtube.com/c/TungTangKhác... ▶️ For more information, please contact: [email protected].
