A blues based musician with a folk and country influence. His playing is typified by its raw energy and broad tonal range - from delicate harmonics to searing rips and slides on guitar, soulful singing, multiple drum pedals by foot and driving rhythms on harmonica, he is a one man band. Known as the Japanese Blues Cowboy he plays at various venues and festivals throughout Australia and overseas. At the age of 24, he began busking (street performances) in New Zealand, later moving to Australia and releasing his solo album 'Blue to the Bone' in 2004. In the same year, he won the Busking Championship at the Country Music Festival. In 2009, he released his second album, "Sliding Days." He was interviewed by many Australian newspapers, magazines, and television programs, and his musical activities were widely covered. Since 2010, he has released two albums with Tsugaru shamisen player Noriko Tadano (George & Noriko). In 2012, he appeared on the popular Australian program 'Australia's Got Talent' and was a finalist. He was introduced as a street musician active overseas on the Japanese television program 'Gutto Chikyubin'. He currently continues to perform on the streets, but is also active at festivals and luxury cruise ships around the world. He is strongly influenced by blues, and is skilled at slide guitar, as well as playing lap steel guitar, which is played on his lap. At the same time, he sings while playing a rhythmic blues harp, a kick drum with his left foot, and a drum pedal (which he uses to alternate between a tambourine, snare drum, and cymbal) with his right foot. He plays the sound of a one man band, playing five different roles.
