When the violin speaks Mahmoud Sorour, the Egyptian violinist. All love Mahmoud Sorour.. Born in Cairo on November 10, 1972, but lived twenty years of his life in Port Said before joining the Higher Institute of Music, where he completed his studies and honed his talent. He won many awards for playing the violin, the most important of which was the award for the best violinist in the Arab world in 1996 in the competition held by the Egyptian Opera House. He is also the owner of most of the violin and rebab solos heard in modern songs and was able to create for himself a new form of playing both instruments, the violin and the rebab, which enables him to participate with them in modern songs and adapt oriental and traditional instruments to serve the western combo and modern artistic works, whether musical or vocal. He is one of the most prominent players in the artistic arena, as he obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Arabic Music in 1995 with honors. He taught at the institute for a year, then left it and devoted himself to playing only.
