On the day of her imprisonment, Romina found out she was pregnant. While she had to leave her other two children behind, she spent the entire pregnancy in prison. Her son - now two years old - was born in prison and grew up there with his mother. Romina's son is the same story as around 150 other children in Germany who also grew up in prison with their mothers. In total, around 100,000 children in Germany have one parent in prison.
